Following the Apollo 11 moon landing, the use of celestial imagery and motifs that invoke a spirit of hope, bravery and curiosity continue to fuel space-themed fashion trends. The 60s drew inspiration from the imagery of stars, moon, galaxies, and celestial bodies, incorporating them into clothing to evoke a sense of wonder, exploration, and optimism about the future felt by both the young and old. We strip this inspiration down into an emotion and created the celestial dress, a fully hand embroidery dress made with pearls, beads and bugle bead fringe
